Short answer: a crochet graduation bouquet costs from Rs 1,200 for a single sunflower to about Rs 5,500 for a large arrangement, with the full sunflower bouquet at Rs 4,000. It looks brilliant in the convocation photos, and unlike fresh flowers it is still perfect years later, a keepsake of the day.
Why crochet for a convocation
A graduation bouquet has one long day of work to do: the ceremony, the photos, the family lunch, the drive home. Fresh flowers usually look tired by the second hour in the heat. A crochet bouquet looks exactly the same in the last photo as the first, and then it moves onto the shelf next to the degree.
What graduates carry
- Sunflowers. The classic graduation flower. A single stem is Rs 1,200, the full sunflower bouquet is Rs 4,000.
- Tulips. Bright in photos, from Rs 850 for a small bouquet to Rs 3,200 for a double.
- Something them. The Batman bouquet at Rs 4,000 goes to the graduate who was never really a flowers person. Anything from the bouquets can be made theirs.
University colours
Every piece is made to order, so the bouquet can be crocheted in the university colours, or the department colours, or simply the graduate’s favourites. Tell me the colours on WhatsApp and it is made that way, no extra cost.
Ordering for a group
Classmates often order together so everyone graduates with a bouquet in hand. I take group orders depending on the season, so message me with the number and the convocation date as early as you can and I will confirm honestly what I can make in time.
Timing
Everything is crocheted by hand and made to order, so allow 2 days to about a week, plus delivery anywhere in Pakistan. Convocation season gets busy, so a week or two of notice is safest. Delivery is Rs 300, free on orders over Rs 3,500.
